2020
The company signed a medical cannabis supply agreement with Tasmanian Alkaloids for the supply of specific natural medicinal cannabis products. Through the combination of Tasmanian Alkaloids’ supplied products with the company’s TPM technology, it will investigate how TPM may increase the oral absorption of natural cannabinoids from within the medicinal cannabis products.
2021
The company secured a 5-year exclusive license and supply agreement with Medterra Pharma for its CBD soft-gel capsule for treating arthritis, Medterra will help the company develop the capsule as an oral treatment with the intent to support FDA approval.
2022
The company secured a product license and supply agreement with Team SAAS for a custom-made proprietary cannabis/TPM combination distillate for use in the manufacturing process ofedibles in the US recreational cannabis market.
The company signed an agreement with Perrigo for the development of a TPM-enhanced ibuprofen gel for the US market.
The company collaborated with the Lambert Initiative for the use of its topical CBD TPM gel for the treatment of osteoarthritis in the fingers and hands. In 2023, the company’s clinical program with the Lambert Initiative was expanded for the inclusion of the company’s oral CBD for use in two more clinical trials.
Avecho signed a licensing and supply agreement with private company Team SAAS to use TPM in recreational products in the US. The deal is structured so that Team SAAS pays for TPM and will share the profits 50/50. Team SAAS plans to sell a proprietary cannabis-TPM combination distillate for the manufacturing of recreational edibles, such as gummies, in the US. Orders have already been received from Big Chief, the USA’s largest recreational cannabis supplier.
2023
The company entered into a strategic partnership with Arthur Group for the licensing of the company’s TPM for the development of enhanced cancer drugs replacing adverse solvents or surfactants normally required with the rights to 5 different oncology products. Arthur Group will pay the company for all the formulation, non-clinical and clinical development costs of the products and Avecho will in turn also receive 30% of the revenue from the licensing s well as 30% of the net profit from the commercialization of these products.
The company received a TPM-manufacturing monopoly patent with protection until 2037 for the US with the patent also granted in India, Jpan, Mexico, Russia and Singapore.
2025
The company announced a major partnership with Swiss pharmaceutical giant Sandoz to bring its CBD capsule for insomnia to the Australian market under an exclusive 10-year agreement where Sandoz will gain commercial rights in Australia whiel Avecho retains the rights for all other markets. The company received an upfront payment of 3 million USD, up to 16 million USD in development milestones as well as tiered royalties of 14-19% on future net sales. Sandoz will support patient reccruitment for the phase 3 clinicial trial of the capsule and provide strategic input for the regulatory pathway for approval by TGA and once regulatory approval is granted, Sandoz will take care of the commercialization, marketing and distribution in Australia.
