The company’s collaborators from the University of Michigan presented 2 scientific posters in the Society for Neuroscience Conference on the 12th to 16th of November in San Diego saying; “The study results demonstrated that a single intravenous dose of psilocybin can attenuate mechanical allodynia and thermal hyperalgesia for up to 4 weeks post dose.” and “This study demonstrated a change in EEG recordings in rats receiving an IV infusion of psilocybin coincident with achieving the psychedelic state.”.

The company entered into an arrangement agreement with Exopharm Limited pursuant to which Exopharm has agreed to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Tryp with Tryp’s clinical programs and development strategy remaining as the foundation of the combined entity. The company signed a letter of intent with Massachusetts General Hospital o fund and conduct a Phase 2a clinical trial investigating the effects of psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy in the treatment of patients aged 21+ suffering from IBS. The planned study will evaluate the effect of psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy in patients with treatment-resistant IBS who experience chronic abdominal pain and other debilitating gastrointestinal symptoms. Many of these patients also suffer from fibromyalgia, anxiety and fatigue. The primary efficacy endpoint of the study will be improvement in abdominal pain. The study will also explore changes in brain connectivity and responses to pain at baseline, at four weeks, six months and twelve months, post-the psychedelic session, along with numerous other secondary endpoints.
