Breath samples taken at a Maryland green lab held by the Montgomery County Police Department and shipped to North Louisiana Criminalistics Laboratory for analysis tested positive for THC after smoking and edibles consumption with the use of the company’s proprietary laboratory-based marijuana detection equipment. The samples were collected from 10 smokers and 1 subject consuming THC-infused edibles. The baseline of the participants THCbreath concentrations were in most cases very low indicating no recent use of cannabis products. 30 minutes after observed consumption, the THC concentrations in breath per cartridge increased significantly, the highest being around 25 ng/cartridge. After 60 minutes, the THC concentrations in breath decreased but remained above baseline values. Subjects then re-dosed after around 80 minutes after first cannabis consumption and analysis showed elevated levels of THC after re-dosing, even when compared to the levels observed after initial consumption. The samples were analyzed 48 hours after collection.
The company partnered with Omega Laboratories for breathalyzer samples analyzed by Omega Laboratories to undergo rigorous testing using mass spectrometry, a gold standard in analytical chemistry, allowing for the highest standards of quality and integrity.
