MariMed started out as advisors on the design, development, operations and financing of new cannabis cultivation centers and stores nationwide in the cannabis industry in 2012. 2017

The company entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Alternative Medicine Association for the production and distribution of MariMed’s branded cannabis products in Nevada.

The company acquired the remaining 49% stake of MariMed Advisors.

2019

MariMed signed a licensing deal for the manufacture and distribution of Tropizen’s unique tropical products, pique hot sauce and real fruit gummies in the six states that MariMed serves in the US. Also has a licensing agreement with Tropizen for Betty’s Eddie and Kalm Fusion in Puerto Rico.

The company signed an exclusive agreement with with one of the largest beverage distributors located in the Northeast US serving over 8,500 on and off-premise locations for the marketing of MariMed’s brands in Rhode Island and Connecticut.

MariMed Hemp signed an exclusive deal with one of the largest beverage distributors in the Northeast US to market its CBD brand in Rhode Island and Connecticut. This will be done through the HempEngine platform which will be placed in locations such as retailers, liquor stores and supermarkets. These locations will receive the HempEngine turnkey CBD marketing platform, a complete “store-within-a-store” package, pre-stocked by the location owner’s criteria based on statistics gathered from the system. In addition to curated brands, HempEngine includes the re-marketing platform, Sprout. Under the terms of the agreement, the HempEngine turnkey CBD marketing platform will be placed in locations in Rhode Island and Connecticut, including retailers, liquor stores and supermarkets. The HempEngine is a “store-within-a-store” package, pre-stocked with a range of CBD products focused on a location owner’s particular criteria and enables the re-marketing platform, Sprout.

The company signed a licensing agreement with Binske involving the manufacture and distribution of Binske’s products in Illinois, Ohio, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maryland, Delaware and Maine.

2021

The company presented the world with the world’s largest cannabis-infused brownie for the celebration of the launch of its Bubby’s Baked brand measuring 3 ft wide, 3 feet long with 15 inches to the top, weighing 850 pounds and containing 20,000 mg of THC.

2025

The company acquired First State Compassion Center which included cultivation and processing facilities as well as 2 stores in Delaware.
