NEWS & PARTNERSHIPS:

2019

The company entered into an agreement with Newstrike Brands for the supply of up to 1,200 kilograms of cannabis flower and shake that will be used for the purpose of extraction and the creation of cannabis oil and/or distillate.

2020

The company entered into an exclusive medical cannabis partnership with STADA for the supply of MediPharm’s GMP-certified medical cannabis products as well as manufacturing, logistics, and regulatory support. STADA will in turn be responsible for commercializing the cannabis products, initially in Germany. STADA will also market and educate using its pharmaceutically-experienced workforce.

The company entered into a 3-year strategic manufacturing agreement with Avicanna for the production of oral drops, sublingual sprays and topicals including Avicanna’s RHO Phyto medical cannabis products and Pura Earth topicals under license for commercial sales through Medical Cannabis by Shoppers and also involves international distribution and intellectual property licensing. Avicanna also granted MediPharm Labs with a license to use Avicanna’s proprietary formulations to develop additional MediPharm Labs and white label-branded products for the domestic and international market.

The company entered Brazil through a 2-year supply partnership with XLR8 Brazil. The company will provide a wide range of cannabis concentrate formats for formulated products to XLR8 Brazil which will distribute the products.

The company entered into a supply agreement with Cann Farm Peru for the supply of cannabis oil as well as a wide range of cannabis concentrate formats which will be distributed among Peru’s pharmacies.

The company sued HEXO for not paying them 9.8 million USD related to its supply deal signed in 2019.

2021

The company exported RHO Phyto under its deal with Avicanna to Barbados through a distribution partnership with Bryden Stokes with the intent of expanding further into the Caribbean region.

2022

The company launched CBG products and a water-soluble CBN:THC liquid solution.

The company enetered into a cannabis research agreement with Keck School of Medicine of USC for a double-blind placebo-controlled Phase 2 trial on the efficacy of THC and CBD to treat hospice-eligible patients diagnosed with dementia and experiencing agitation.

2023

The company acquired VIVO Cannabis with its Australian and German medical cannabis Beacon Medical brand, Harvest Medicine which is a medical cannabis clinic business in Canada as well as Canna Farms Medical which is a Canadian medical sales platform. Included in the transaction was the Napanee Ontario facility which is EU GMP-certified for cultivating and packaging flower.

Thanks to Tilray’s acquisition of HEXO which in turn had acquired Newstrike Brands, a solution was made which allowed for Medipharm to receive 3 million in cash, 4.5 million in shares of Tilray, 1 million in Tilray cannabis products including high-quality flower and extractable biomass as well as a 4-year 500,000 CAD supply agreement where the company will provide Tilray with its products and services.

The Company entered into a supply agreement with a top tier generic pharmaceutical company in Brazil which will apply to the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency for a number of cannabis product approvals.

The company entered into a 3-year strategic manufacturing agreement with Avicanna for its proprietary cannabinoid-based self-emulsifying drug delivery systems (SEDDS technology capsules) under GMP-standards which is to be sold in Canada under the RHO Phyto brand through medical channels including Avicanna’s online cannabis care platform, MyMedi.ca and MediPharm’s Canna Farms platform. Medipharm also intends to sell the capsules through their MediPharm Labs brand in adult use wellness channels.

2024

The company received Brazilian GMP-certification for its facility in Barrie, Ontario.

The company entered into a licensing agreement with Remidose to service their customers in Canada through direct-to-patient medical platforms as well as international medical distributors and for the exclusive rights to produce certain metered dose inhalers and pressurized sublingual sprays for the expansion of their customer bases in Canada and internationally.

The company sold its ABcann Medicinals’ manufacturing operation in Ontario to Kensana Health and as part of the sale, the companies formed a strategic partnership and Kensana will supply select products and services in support fo MediPharm’sinternational brands and customers.

2025

The company cancelled the sale of its Napanee, Ontario cannabis facility to Kensana Health as Kensana did not meet the full terms and conditions within the required timeline and kept some of the nonrefundable deposits Kensana had already paid.

The company sold its Hope, British Columbia facility to Rubicon Organics.

The company entered into a commercial agreement with Laboratório Teuto in Brazil to bring 2 of MediPharm’s full-spectrum, GMP sublingual oral solutions, approved by ANVISA, into Brazil.

MediPharm Labs completed the company’s first shipment to France following a production agreement with an international medicinal cannabis organization.

The company signed a medical cannabis supply agreement with Remidose LATAM for the shipment of GMP-certified oils, tinctures, dried flower & metered dose inhalers to Costa Rica, marking the company’s entry into Latin America.

BRANDS:

MediPharm Labs is focused on innovation and the highest quality products offered with premium pricing. The brand offers MCT Oils, olive oils, soft chews and capsules.

Canna Farms is British Columbia’s first licensed producer focused on medical patients with a 15,000 sq ft indoor grow facility. Canna Farms was VIVO’s flagship brand and was the first licensed producer in British Columbia and is profitable since 2014. The brand offers organically grown (using glacial water, organic soil and other artisan practices) premium indoor-grown, award-winning, hand-trimmed craft cannabis. The brand sells vapes, chocolates, kief, live rosin, hash rosin, bubble hash, wax and shatter.

Fireside Cannabis offers FireSide Chocolates are made in partnership with ChocolaTas which is a Belgian world-class, award-winning chocolatier. The brand also offers vape kits and cartridges. The vape cartridges contain only natural cannabis extract and cannabis derived terpenes. Fireside X is a sub-brand that’s used for wax and shatter products.

Harvest Medicine consists of two specialized cannabis clinics where physician-led consultations take place which are billable to provincial Health Ministries. Virtual care options also available for patients. Harvest Medicine is the company’s clinic brand which has four open locations in Alberta, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia with telemedicine as an option for remote locations and comes with high quality proprietary data from over 150,000 patient visits.


GMP Beacon Medical’s products are produced in Canada and are available as flower, oil or inhalation formats allowing physicians and patients to choose between 3 delivery methods in Australia where they are also sold. The Beacon Medical brand is expanding into Cannabis 3.0 and has partnered with Pharmascience to provide the markets with novel medical cannabis products. In the pipeline there are non-combustible, precisely dosed products under GMP standards. Beacon Medical is sold in the Australian market.
